Bursary Opportunities for Unemployed Students
Electech is inviting unemployed students to apply for their bursary programme. The Bursary Programme for Unemployed Students provides financial support to academically deserving individuals who are currently unemployed and wish to pursue tertiary studies. The programme is aimed at promoting access to education and contributing to socio-economic development through skills upliftment and youth empowerment.
Funding may cover tuition fees, prescribed textbooks, and related study
expenses, subject to the bursary terms and conditions. Where applicable,
recipients may also gain access to additional development opportunities such as mentorship or workplace exposure.
Selection is based on academic merit, financial need, and alignment to priority or scarce skills areas. Through this initiative, the organisation demonstrates its commitment to education, socio-economic development, and the creation of a skilled and inclusive workforce.

- Certified copy of Matric/academic results (not older than 6 months)
- Proof of acceptance to an institution

The bursary programme will be aimed at candidates who
meet the following criteria.
- South African Citizen
- Currently unemployed
- Under 30 years of age.
- This bursary does not apply to students currently enrolled for Grade 12.
- All students registered for full-time studies at any DHET/CHE-registered tertiary
- Institution (university, college, etc) in 2026.
- For the following NQF-5 (or higher) qualifications: Higher Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, bachelor’s degree
- This opportunity is NOT open to Master’s, or Doctoral qualifications.
Students registered as (first, second or third/final) year students in the following fields of study:
- Information Technology (or closely related)
- Human Resources (or closely related)
- Marketing (or closely related)
- Legal (or closely related)
- Purchasing / Logistics / Supply Chain (or closely related)
- Business Management (or closely related)
- Electrical Engineering
